I got a Surcie (sp?)

I received my first official 'surcie' today! For those of you who are not from the South, because it must be a southern thing/word, a surcie is an unexpected gift. It can be big or small but it is just a gift given out of love. Mine was from my friend Amy who's daughter, Lilly May, I babysit. She gave me this cute turkey spreader. Technically it is a Thanksgiving Day gift but she called it a surcie so I'm claiming it as an official surcie. After 16 years of living here, I'm still learning. Oh, and every southern girl I have asked.........NO ONE knows how to spell it!!
